Meet Owners, Dana Gregory & Javier Nava
Dana Gregory was born in New York. Growing up in an Italian family, “food was our life, and a lot of my favorite memories were gathering with family and friends around the holidays, baking cookies…food always brought us together.”
The service industry is in her blood. Her grandmother provided for her family as a successful waitress and her father was a great chef for many NY restaurants. After moving to Maine as a child, Dana grew up gardening with her Mother; she learned from an early age to enjoy the process, and how important fresh food is. With strong family lineage of hospitality, she always felt it was her fate, dreaming of one day owning her own restaurant.
Her first job was making donuts for the family business, her greatest fulfillment was making 650 donut holes for her entire school in the 6th grade. She followed that path, working in many restaurants throughout the years, until she found her home here in Ogunquit in 2013. For eight years, she worked with previous M.C. Owners as a server, working her way up as their event coordinator and their assistant manager. She excels in planning special events; with her attention to detail, she manages rehearsal dinners, baby showers, corporate meetings, or family gatherings.

Javier Nava grew up with family in Albuquerque, New Mexico, surrounded by good food. He later moved to Maine and at the age of 19, began working the grill and ovens at a local Wells, ME restaurant. After mastering all the cooking stations, Javier made the transition to the front of the house. He went on to work for several establishments before joining the team at M.C. Perkins Cove in 2007, with James Beard award winning chefs, Mark Gaier and Clark Frasier. Guided by the chefs, he worked his way up from server to bartender, to becoming general manager for the past 6 years. As manager, Javier has developed personal relationships with many of his guests over the years.
